Replaces Gordon Pape on popular weekly radio commentaries after Labour Day
Kendrew Pape will become CBC Radio's new personal finance commentator after Labour Day.
After 17 years, Gordon Pape has announced he is leaving his popular weekly radio spot, which is heard on CBC stations across Canada, to be succeeded by his son.
"It's been a great run with CBC, and I have loved the opportunity of sharing my thoughts with hundreds of thousands of people every week," Gordon Pape said. "But the time has come for me to step aside. Kendrew will bring the perspective of a younger generation to the program, and I know that listeners will find his comments to be insightful and useful."
Kendrew Pape is a published author, with three books to his credit, co-authored with Mel Wise. His most recent title is The Essential Guide to Buying and Selling a Car in Canada. Copies are available through the Web site bookstore.
Kendrew's CBC transcripts will be published weekly on this site, as has been the case in the past with Gordon's scripts. Click on Pape's Notes - CBC on the Home Page for the latest updates.
The broadcasts are heard on CBC radio stations in the following areas: Toronto (Metro Morning), southern Ontario (Ontario Morning), Moncton morning show, Saint John afternoon show, Sydney morning show, Charlottown morning show, Prince George morning show, Victoria morning show, Vancouver morning show, Kelowna morning show, Edmonton morning show, Regina morning show, Winnipeg morning show, Thurnder Bay morning show, and Windsor morning show.
